How do you make iced tea?

Sorry I haven't blogged lately.  My life has been turned upside down with my Mother being ill,  and my Father and I having to place her in a nursing home.
Last night my Son in laws brother passed away.  It's been a difficult Summer.

On to something that so many people ask me.  How do I make my iced tea.You might think there was a secret recipe or something. Everyone loves it! If I run out I'm in trouble. LOL..  I know we all have our own method, or buy it ready made, or in a mix.
To Cyndie, Dan, Alan, Steve, Chip, and all the others that want to know how I make it  here goes.
1.  Bring a 6 quart pot, (not quite full of water) to a boil.

2.  Throw in 6 tea bags.  Let it bubble for a minute.  Turn off and let sit for at least 6 hours.

3. Remove teabags.  Add one cup of sugar and the juice of one lemon.  I never use the bottle stuff!
4.  Pour into a gallon pitcher and stir well.   It usually fills one gallon perfectly.

I have some crafts almost finished,  I'll get them posted soon.
Enjoy your tea!

  2. So very sorry to read about your mom.

I make my iced tea similar to yours, except I add 12 tea bags and let it sit about 10-15 minutes then it's ready to add the sugar and lemon. I also prefer fresh lemon - it also tastes really good with fresh lime!

we only make sun tea...I like the taste better than brewed..very smooth and not at all acid....add some lemon slices and agave syrup as we can't have sugar...yummy and refreshing
