Happy Birthday to my Dad, and new pumpkins listed

Today is my Dads 83rd Birthday.  It's also sadly one week to the day that Mom passed.  We have to celebrate our first special occasion without her. I know with time it will get easier.
I'm cooking Dad a nice dinner,  and we are making homemade ice cream.
My family purchased a new 42" TV for him.  His favorite pastime is watching the Phillies.  (I hope he still loves them after lastnights loss!).  The kids are so excited to update his old console T.V.! LOL...
I have this pumpkin set listed in my Etsy shop.

  1. I know how hard it is to carry on without one of your parents. Although my Mom has been gone now for 7 years, I still miss her so much! It does get easier and the pain does subside, but you will always miss her. Thinking about you and saying a prayer for your family today.
    Blessings,
    ~Rene~

  2. Happy Birthday to your daddy. I lost my dad 3 years ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. Your mom will always be in your heart and you will always have the memory of her with you. The pain does get easier over time but its really never gone. You just learn to go on without them because we weren't given a choice.
    Warm hug,
    AMY

  5. Happy birthday to your Dad and prayers to you and your family. All those "firsts" really hurt.
I didn't realize your Mom had passed until I read the post before this one. So sorry for your loss. The poem after her picture is absolutely lovely.
    Sending you hugs.

  7. Thanks everyone. Dad loved the meal and ice cream. The T.V. was a hit!! It was hard, but I had to make his B-day special. I'm so blessed he's still here at 83. Thanks for all the support.
    Pat
