A new way to dry your prims, and some new ornies finished.

It was 99 degrees here today. The humidity made is so much worse. Not fit for man nor beast.  I decided to not turn on the oven to dry my labels.  I put them on the trunk of my car out in the sun.  It was as hot as the oven, and they dried pronto! Don't forget the rocks for weight if it's windy.
I finally finished up some fall ornies.  These will be up on Etsy by tomorrow.  This is my Prim Sunflower crock fillers.  I made them to fit a shoe box to keep shipping down.   If you need them taller,
just add a shopping bag scrunched up in the bottom of your crock.

I love how these turned out.  I made 17.  Odd number, I know! Don't ask me why? I'm funny about
making even numbers! LOL....
Next up are my witch fingers.  I designed the tag.  The fingers are my take on a pattern by
Threadbare primitives.

Arent they a hoot!  The tag reads "Ding-dong, the wicked witch is dead".
This is my take on a Candy corn pattern by Homespun hugs and calico kisses.

It's not halloween without candy corn!
Thanks for peeking, and keep cool.

My Friends Swap photo.

I recently took part in  friends swap with some wonderful girls in my eBay group PLOA.  I received this lovely handcrafted purse from Fran.   She added some sewing needles to the little pouch tucked inside.
Thanks Fran!  I love the purse.  Fran is also a very talented quilter.  Please click here to visit her selling blog.

My little Heaven

I'm still spending 20 hours a day caring for my Parents.  Dad is recovering well and I hope to be back home soon. I haven't been able to craft or post pictures so I thougth I would share some pictures of my porch.
Yesterday I took Mom and Dad with me, so I could have my normal Sunday at home which includes my whole family for dinner, and catching up.
When I arrived, I found that my Husband and youngest Daughter were cleaning up the porch.  It's my favorite place on earth.  I always look forward to Spring and porch sitting time.
The tree pollen has been horrible, so it just got a light cleaning.  Once the pollen is finished, the power washer comes out for a serious cleaning, along with some decorating.
Here are some picutres of my "Heaven".

I call this the dining room.  We eat every meal there weather permitting.  The vintage kitchen table is my favorite. I love the design at each end.  The black ice cream parlor chairs are new.  I found the cabinet at a yard sale.

The other end is the so called living room.  The chairs are my favorite.  They along with the two tables were my Husbands Grandparents, bought in 1930.
Thanks for looking at my little piece of Heaven. Come sit a spell!

Congrats Debbie at Debbies DoDads!

Debbie won the flower ornies I donated to the PAFA giveaway.  Congratulations Debbie!

My Father is home and recovering.  We had to rush him to the ER yesterday.  He couldn't breathe. He's back home and doing much better.
I'm still staying with my Parents.  It's quite stressful.
I'm thankful for my wonderful Hubby, and dear Children for all their support.  I couldn't have done this with out them!
I need to change out this Easter Template!!! LOL....
I hope to be back to sewing and posting fun stuff soon.

Pray for my Father

I haven't been around lately.  My Father is in the Cardiac failure unit at a Major Hospital.
I have to stay with my Mother (24/7) who has severe Dementia.  No internet  at their house.
It makes it hard to keep up w/ all my family and friends.
Please say your prayers for the Best Father a Girl could ever ask for!!!
And lots of patients for me.  The strain is unbearable.

The Gurlz finally got their hair did!
Yesterday, I finished two black dolls, and two Raggedy Annie bag holders.  The bag holders have
a hanging loop sewn to their back.  The black dolls are weighted to help them sit on their own.
These sweeties were made with a Sweet Meadows farm pattern.
They should arrive on Etsy and my Website as soon an Mr. Sunshine pops out, and I can take their photos.
